SCALLOPED

Asos shirt with dramatic ruffle (similar in black), J.Crew matchstick jeans (similar coated version), Nine West x Instyle heels, Asos satchel bag with scallop bar detail (available in cream here), Madewell bracelet, vintage hoops + watch, Revlon lipstick in "Fuchsia"

I love this bag from Asos. It's large enough for me to use for work and fit in my large collection of pens, highlighters, post-its, etc. (I love office supplies). I wore this outfit earlier in the day when it was still warm but threw on a sweater and my Gap ombre moto jacket (last seen here) when it started to rain and get colder. I think it's safe to say these snakeskin pumps have become a staple in my closet.

BABY BLUE + HENRIETTA

Zara cropped top,  Zara faux leather tube skirt, Nine West x Instyle Gamin Heels, Asos spiked hoop earrings (similar here), Madewell bracelet, vintage watch + clutch, Revlon nail polish in "Siren"

This weekend I picked up my new puppy! I have been wanting a puppy for a few years now and after a couple opportunities to adopt fell through, I found my new Schnoodle, Henrietta. She has done so well her first day and she will be starting obedience training soon! The hardest thing so far is finding cool, unique things for her (and potty training, of course!). I will be sharing some of her favorite things soon.

This weekend I took Henrietta out and enjoyed some of the warmer weather. With Spring comes pastels. Although I have never really been a fan of light blue, I am finding myself drawn to it more this season. I purchased this cropped blouse and faux leather pencil skirt from Zara a few weeks ago and plan to mix them into my work wardrobe. Also, I have been searching for the perfect snakeskin pumps that I could also wear to work. I finally found this pair from the Nine West x Instyle collaboration. If you are searching for something similar, you should check these out. Nine West shoes are always comfortable and last forever.

COZY WEEKEND

Madwell sweater (similar here),  Gap jeans, Nine West pumps (love these), Nosilla Vintage sunglasses, vintage watch

It was pretty cold here this weekend. I decided to wear this Madewell sweater while I went to visit my family and to try a new restaurant in Durham, Zinburger. It was awesome! I love a great burger. They also have a ton of wine selections and delicious milkshakes. If you're ever in the area, you have to try it!

I hope you all had a great weekend!

WORKWEAR WEDNESDAY

So I recently received emails about what I wear to work. I've mentioned a few times that
I work at a company with a business casual dress code. I like business casual because it's much easier to find pieces that work for both business and play. Every Wednesday I'll try and share what I've worn for the previous week.

I would love to see what you all are wearing too! Share your work looks with the hashtag #workwearwednesday so I can see!

BORROWED FROM THE BOYS

Vintage sweater (similar here, here, + here), Gap jeans, Nine West heels, Vintage bag, forever 21 earrings, BCBG ring, Vintage, Gap, and J.Crew bracelets, Vintage watch, Sally Hansen "Barracuda" nails

I purchased this vintage men's sweater many years ago but never wore it. Recently, I pulled it out to wear on a cool day and now I wear it all the time. I love the fit of this cardigan. It is the perfect piece to for the cool Spring nights ahead. I've already planned a raiding session in my bf's closet.

Here are some men's cardigans I love right now:

P.S. I entered StyleMint's Style For Your City contest! Please take a second and vote for me HERE! Thanks! xoxo

Gap sweater; 7FAM jeans; Nine West heels; Vintage watch + bangles; MAC lipstick in "Hang-Up"

Just when I talked about being ready for spring (here), it snows. Our recent streak of really cold weather makes me feel much better about picking up some sweaters that were on sale recently. Years ago I was hesitant to buy things at end of season sales because I don't know how long I'll get to wear it. Now I realize that end of season sales are the perfect time to stock up on pieces you'll wear for years to come.

Gap blazer; American Apparel T; J.Crew cords; Nine West pumps; Vintage earrings, watch, + sunglasses; Revlon lipstick in "Hot Coral"

I've been on the hunt for the perfect plaid wool blazer for the last few years. I can never find one that I like and on the rare occasion that I do, it's always sold out. I found this blazer at Gap recently and I love the red accents. I wore it this day with a tee and cords but I've also worn it to work over a work dress and with navy and black trousers. You know how I love pieces that can work double duty.

On another note, aren't these vintage earrings amazing? They look like two earrings on each ear. I'm not sure what colors I want to paint these yet. Look out for them in the store when I finally decide.

SILVER STREAK

I am slowly becoming a fan of silver again. Although I am coming around, I never thought I would be in love with a silver shoe. In walks Nine West's Fastlife sandal. I'm in love. Deep, deep love. Everyone I show these to hates them. Yet, my love for them continues to grow with each passing day.

sigh.

Someone. Anyone. Tell me I'm not alone on this.
