I'm trying to add more green to my wardrobe. My favorite shade has to be emerald. I wrote about it here. It really looks great on all skin tones.

COLORFULLY CHIC: RED

Two weeks ago during my first Colorfully Chic post, I talked about my love for emerald. Today I thought I would feature a color that has grown on me the last few years. I was never really a fan of red, especially red clothing. Now I am embracing the color more.  I love that you can take a traditional item and make it fun with red without losing it's classic feel. For example, a red peacoat or red pump are both statement pieces that you can wear forever. Let's also not forget how great every woman looks in a gorgeous red lip!

COLORFULLY CHIC: EMERALD

I love the color green. Although I don't own much green clothing, the few pieces I do own are in my favorite shade of green, emerald. The color is gorgeous and looks great on every skin tone. I love to see a redhead in the hue. I've selected some of my favorite emerald finds below:

THE PINK SWEATER

For Fall, think pink! I'm not talking about neon pink or magenta. I'm referring to the soft pink trend for Fall. The hue is showing up everywhere, including coats. However, I love seeing outfits incorporating the color with soft knits. A gorgeous pink sweater will add the perfect feminine touch to any Fall look.

One thing that has been catching my eye lately is all the navy leather items I've been seeing around. I have always been a fan of navy but never really considered how great the color looks on a great structured bag or moto jacket. It offers a great, subtle departure from traditional black. I'm really liking that Gap tote. It would make a great work bag. 

SUMMER LEATHER

I love the versatility of leather shorts. You can wear them in fall/winter with tights and in the spring/summer with a light top. I own a pair in a cognac color but now I want something brighter and more fun. A couple weeks ago I stumbled upon a picture of a silver pair of Clover Canyon leather shorts. After searching online, I found that these shorts come in even more gorgeous colors. What is your favorite color out of this pretty bunch?

I'm loving neon knits for fall and winter. I have this same sweater in neon pink (seen here). They are the perfect pop in these cold temps and for $12 a pop, I'm waiting for more colors.

In one of my recent posts, I expressed my love for burgundy. Another color I've always loved for fall is green. From emerald to hunter green, any shade will do. This season's hot shade is "bottle green." I must say I absolutely love this color. It's dark like hunter green but has a subtle blue tint. This color would look great on any skin tone. I was eyeing these green jeans from the Gap and snatched them up recently on super sale.
