DEAR WEEKEND

This weekend I tried a new restaurant in Raleigh, Jimmy V's Osteria. It was really good and I want to try it again for breakfast. Thanks to Valentine's Day, I was able to fill my place with some fresh new flowers. I haven't had any new flowers in months. I also pulled out my new Lilly Pulitzer iPad case (you can find it here) I got in a gift bag at an event last week. The picture makes me dream of summer.

I wore this new Nastygal dress for dinner.

DEAR WEEKEND

This weekend we tired a new restaurant in Durham, 604 West Village. I had the vesuvio pizza with shrimp. It was awesome. I love trying new places. It helps that we are so close to Durham and it's great eateries. On Saturday I went home to Greensboro where my mom was able to fit me in and give my head a good fixing. Last night I watched the most boring Super Bowl I have ever watched. The game made me more sad the Panthers weren't in it.

DEAR < THANKSGIVING > WEEKEND

I am still recovering from my Thanksgiving break. My family came over to my house and ate Thanksgiving dinner. The week before I finally was able to get some things organized. I sorted my jewelry, added some additional shelving to my closet, and added some new furniture for storage. Yesterday my mom and I stopped by our favorite vintage store at home and they had some great mid century pieces. I'm excited to add some new pieces to my place.

color coordinated sweaters

obsessed with this candleholder (you can find it here)
drawer organizers from ikea for my jewelry
sweet tea
how amazing are these two pieces?

DEAR WEEKEND

This weekend we headed out of town to catch the Charlotte Bobcats v. Miami Heat game. Before we left, I stopped by Madewell and purchased a pair of their Skinny Skinny coated jeans in "Grassland" (pictured below). Let me tell ya'll something. These are THE best jeans I own. I originally wanted the high waist skinny but was assured by the saleswoman that the waist would be high enough for me. They are so comfortable and flattering. The coating makes them look like leather. They also are super long for you tall girls and I cuffed them. You can find them here (also in black).

We had awesome seats and the game was really good. We were hoping that the game would not be a blowout. (we're Heat fans FYI). After the game we ate a late dinner at Rooster's Kitchen. It was one of the best dinners I've had in a long time. When we snagged tickets to the game, I wanted to take advantage of our weekend trip to Charlotte and head to Ikea to get some much needed additions for my place.

We capped the weekend off with The Best Man Holiday. I am a die hard fan of the first movie. I couldn't get over how much I laughed and cried in one movie. It was an emotional roller coaster! Needless to say, I've assembled a few of my Ikea pieces but will finish today.

DEAR WEEKEND

I had the most amazing weekend. My weekend kicked off Friday when I went back home for my 10 year high school reunion. I had so much fun that I can't wait until the next one! On Sunday I went to my favorite brunch spot for an early birthday celebration. I'm 28 today. At times I can't believe I'm already 28. Other times I can't keep track and tell people I'm 29 on accident. Either way my waiter thought I was too young to drink a mimosa on Sunday so I guess it doesn't matter what age I actually am. Winning.

DEAR WEEKEND

I'm sure you see a theme with the pictures below. I had some great food this weekend. I also had my first lazy Sunday in a long time! Did you catch the MTV Awards this weekend? I watched and tweeted (the best part about watching award shows nowadays). It was boring with a few awkward moments thrown in (hello, Miley! Where are your parents?) There was one major highlight, Justin Timberlake performance/mini concert!

DEAR WEEKEND

I am just getting around to posting some pics from the weekend. I have been going non-stop. On Saturday we tried Rise in Durham. They make donuts and biscuits fresh every day. I had a fried egg and sausage biscuit with a hash cake. It was really good. I love to wake up on the weekend and have a large breakfast and then sleep. I also found time to visit a friend who just moved, help my mom with a new project, and add some new goodies to my Poshmark closet (here). Do you like my new succulents? They're perfect for my brown thumb. I kill every plant I buy for my place.

DEAR WEEKEND

This weekend we celebrated the engagement of one of my good friends. I love a good party and it was a great one! I recently purchased this dress from ASOS. Soon after purchasing it I found the dress I'm wearing in the pictures below at forever 21 for a lot less. It's gorgeous and I've received a ton of compliments on it. You can find it here. It's the perfect summer dress. I also found the gold earrings below. I've been searching for the perfect pair of hexagon hoops and the heart-shaped ones are pretty adorable. I'm a big gold hoop girl so I love finding them in unique shapes. Last week I purchased new sneakers because it was time for a new pair. I love the bright pink laces.

DEAR WEEKEND

Man, I feel like I celebrated the 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th of July this weekend. We threw and attended a bbq, caught a baseball game, and swam for almost 12 hours! I am like a kid when it comes to the swimming pool. I could swim all day, everyday. Luckily the weather was beyond perfect all weekend. I just hope summer doesn't fly by like it seems to be.

DEAR WEEKEND

These two pictures pretty much sum up my weekend. We spent all day swimming and grilling. I also found some time to fit in a movie, flag football practice, and looking through bridal magazines with one of my newly engaged friends.

DEAR (LONG) WEEKEND

The weekend is still going on but it has already been fun. My little cousin's 2nd birthday party was on Saturday and we had a cookout on Sunday. Today I'll be hanging out, getting rest, and maybe going to the movies.
