I wore this outfit to my mom's birthday brunch. I love the little tassels on these J.Crew shoes. I purchased these soon after I purchased the strappy mirrored metallic pumps from J.Crew. I found that their shoes are very comfortable. I would order a half size up. Can you believe these necklaces are from forever 21? I layered three of their necklaces. I love going there for trendy jewelry. I hate spending a lot of money on anything trendy. These three necklaces were $16 total!

NEUTRAL EYESHADOW: TOP 5 PALETTES

In college I experimented a lot with makeup and I really loved trying different color eyeshadows. You would often find me wearing bright purple or turquoise. Although I still love adding color here and there, I've edited my makeup collection down to a few classics. I often wear neutral makeup colors during the week for work and reserve bright colors for the weekend. Luckily for me (and you!), nearly every cosmetic brand has introduced a line of neutral eyeshadows. I have shared my top 5 palettes above. Each palette flatters every skin tone and can be used to achieve several different looks.

Who else is happy for Spring? We have some warm weather coming up this weekend. I have something really awesome to share with you next week on the blog! These are some things that I have on my wish list for Spring. I am headed to Charleston in two weeks for the Family Circle Cup tennis tournament. I would love to get that white eyelet suit for the trip. I got to smell the Marni perfume when I went to the Spring Beauty Preview at Saks (read more about it here). It is is a light, airy scent which is perfect for you girls looking for a new fragrance!

When shopping for denim, my favorite brands are Gap, Madewell, and 7 for All Mankind. I recently purchased these skinny high-rise jeans from Gap and they are my favorite. I love high rise jeans because they fit my hips while still being small enough to fit my waist. I know how hard it is to find jeans that fit. I also purchased this denim boyfriend shirt. It's so comfortable and thicker than a chambray shirt.

On Thursday of last week, I ventured over to the Raleigh Saks for a Spring Beauty Preview. The store is currently having it's Spring Beauty Week (Feb. 20th - March 1st). COLORFULLY CHIC: ICE BLUE

On this installment of Colorfully Chic, I decided to post about a color that I'm starting to see pop up everywhere. If I could my least favorite color, I would pick light blue. I've never really liked the color and used to find it very boring. Now with pastels ruling this upcoming Spring, I'm started to see a lot of pieces in the gorgeous color.  bareMinerals 7 Day Skin Detox Mineral Brightening Peel

I recently saw this new 7 day skin detox peel on bareMinerals website. After hearing more about it from one of the bareMinerals' sales associates, I am really excited about purchasing this and trying it out. I have a few areas of hyper pigmentation. I have been wanting something less harsh than a chemical peel. Much like their other products, this skin peel is made from natural ingredients. 

Clarisonic Mia 2 

This is an obvious choice. I always heard people speak of the Clarisonic Mia and how great the results can be. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing one until I attended the Saks 5th Avenue Beauty presentation here. After their makeup artists praised the Mia, I knew I had to get it. I recently purchased this and it should be delivered soon. 

Level 1 - Beginner Cleanse from Humdinger Juice

I heard about this cleanse from Jillian. I have been wanting to try a cleanse and I love that this one is from a local seller. She even delivers to your house! I'm ready to reset my body and get the toxins out!

The weather was nuts here over the last three days. On Friday it was a balmy 75 degreed. By Sunday we had freezing rain. I'm glad I was able to get this wool jacket (which I talked about here) from Gap by the time the cold weather started rolling in. It's surprisingly a lot warmer than I thought it would be. I'll admit that I initially attracted to the jacket because of the cool ombre effect. I loved dressing it up and can't wear to pair it with more casual pieces.

I recently found this cute baseball cap in the boys' department at Target. I am always looking for a great hat for those days when I need to get ready quickly. It saves me a lot of time to just throw on a hat and head out. Luckily this season hats, especially chic baseball caps, are on trend. There are so many options out there from luxe fabrics like leather and wool, to cool adornments like spikes and jewels. I've shared my picks below:
