GRAY SUIT

J.Crew crop trousers, Gap blazer, Madewell blouse, J.Crew strappy mirror metallic pumps (other silver pumps here and here), Aldo purse

A gray suit is the perfect traditional attorney outfit, no? With a clutch and silver shoes, it is instantly transformed to the perfect outfit for the weekend.

PLAID PENCIL

ASOS skirt, Madewell blouse (similar here), forever 21 sweater (similar here), vintage leather pouch, Aldo pumps (similar here), vintage watch, Revlon "Vixen" nail polish

I've been on the search for a plaid pencil skirt for a while. I've seen options everywhere but settled on this one because of the ruffle detail. With a closet full of pencil skirts, I'm always looking for something a little different.

Check out some other plaid pencil skirts here:

WORKWEAR WEDNESDAY

So I recently received emails about what I wear to work. I've mentioned a few times that
I work at a company with a business casual dress code. I like business casual because it's much easier to find pieces that work for both business and play. Every Wednesday I'll try and share what I've worn for the previous week.

I would love to see what you all are wearing too! Share your work looks with the hashtag #workwearwednesday so I can see!

BLACK + TAN

Gap pants and sweater, Madewell bag, Aldo boots (old; similar), Nosilla vintage sunglasses, vintage watch, forever 21 earrings, Revlon nails in "Vixen", bareMinerals lip color in "Witty"

I have always loved the classic combination of black and tan, especially when Fall rolls around. I wore this to a football game this past weekend and it was perfectly comfy. The best part? My new Madewell Camden Satchel I scored on super sale. It has a detachable strap so it can be worn a multitude of ways. They even offer it in navy. I thought it would be the perfect birthday gift to myself.

METALLIC

Tinley Road skirt via piperlime, Gap turtleneck, Zara heels, Aldo clutch, Nosilla vintage sunglasses, vintage watch, h&m ring

I love this metallic skirt I scored from Piperlime. It is a great shade of rose gold and I can't help but think that it would make a great addition to my holiday party options. I picked some great metallic skirts  that I love:

PEEK-A-BOO

vintage skirt; Forever 21 top; Zara heels (old. Similar here); H and M ring; vintage bracelets; Aldo clutch (old. Love this option in a similar colorBare Minerals Pretty Amazing lip color in "Witty"

Although I'm not thinking about wearing Fall clothes (sweaters, boots, etc.), I don't mind throwing on some Fall colors. This shirt is on trend but a little risqué. But, with it's relaxed material and high neckline, it's toned down a bit. I thought pairing it with a pencil skirt (my favorite, remember?) would balance out the sexiness of the shirt. I've had this navy skirt since college. Navy is one of my favorite neutrals. I love to pair it with brights, and even gray and black.

Have you taken any fashion risks lately?

CROPPED

Forever 21 dress; Gap blazer; Aldo heels (old); vintage earrings; Revlon "Orange Flip" lipstick

I hope everyone had a great Labor Day yesterday. I took these pictures when I was out and about enjoying the last few days of Summer. Like every year, I feel like the season has flown by and I didn't get to do half the things I panned to.

BOWS

Vintage skirt; Prabal Gurung for Target top (similar); Aldo shoes; Vintage clutch (similar), watch (similar)  and bracelets

A great pencil skirt is my favorite staple. This skirt is one of my absolute favorites. It's my mom's skirt and I have admired it since she first purchased it. Now, she lets me borrow it from time to time. I just love the little bows on it. They add the perfect feminine touch.

BRIGHTLEAF SQUARE

Target dress (old, similar here and here), ASOS gem drop earrings (other colors here and here), Aldo shoes, Revlon lipstick in "Orange Flip"

This past weekend we decided to head to downtown Durham for lunch and dinner. Recently the city was named "The South's Tastiest Town" by Southern Living. It reminded me how often I take this city for granted. It's so close and full of pretty amazing restaurants.  I can't wait to take advantage this Spring/Summer.

J. Crew cropped trousers and blouse; Banana Republic clutch (old but love this patterned one); vintage, The Cheeky Bean, J. Crew bracelets, BCBG ring, Aldo shoes, Robinson earrings

This past weekend the weather was in the 70s. I absolutely love the warm temperature and brought out some color for the occasion. It's already back down to the 40s but I'm happy that I was able to enjoy dining outside and leisurely walks outside for a few days.

What are you looking forward to this Spring?

Jacket c/o eShakti; Gap pants; Old Navy blouse; ASOS clutch (old, similar here); Aldo pumps; Vintage watch and bracelets; BCBG + Forever 21 rings; "Revlon Red" Nails

Confession. I'm not a coat person. I will wear 2384793284 layers before I wear a bulky coat. What I do love however, is a  lightweight jacket I can wear for work or play. When eShakti reached out to me about their company, I was immediately drawn to this jacket on their site. I loved the bold color and I am certainly a sucker for tweed. Even more impressive is eShakti's mission to make fashion accessible and affordable for all women. They carry size 0-36 and all their pieces can be customized to all of your measurements.

And just when you thought it couldn't get any better, buyers new to eShakti's site can register for a $25 gift certificate. Merry Christmas to you. Get shopping, ladies!
