Today is my 26th birthday. Oh my gaaaaah! It feels so surreal to say that. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was turning 18! My absolute favorite birthday had to be when I was turning 6 and my parents let me have my first sleepover. I remember staying up late (11!) with all my friends. We ate junk food and watched my favorite scary movie, Bunnicula. Never heard of it? It was a cartoon scary movie about a killer bunny who sucked the color out of vegetables...frightening.
I always believe that good things come in 3's and luckily I have 3 special things happening today!

ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite birthday's was when I turned 21 (of course)! My best friends put together a surprise dinner and 'after' party. Lots of good food, laughs and somehow I ended up sprinting barefoot in the parking lot. Good times :)

My favorite birthday was my 9th. Ever since I was little I loved shoes and for my 9th birthday my mom had given me a pink trunk full of new shoes! Something i will never forget!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was when I turned 30. A few girlfriends and I went out to eat at Grand Lux Cafe on Michigan Ave. in Chicago, then met a larger group of friends for ice cream at Ghiradelli's. It was just a special night!

My favorite birthday was 21. My parents sent me to the Kentucky Derby (with a very cute boy) and we had box seats and tickets to Millionaire's Row. So, so cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd I follow you on Twitter, obvs.
ReplyDeleteMy absolute fav birthday memory was last year when I turned 25! My bbf's got me a sweet suite, all my friends were there, they took me to the lovely Village Tavern in Greensboro, and then we enjoyed a night out at the Mix Martini Lounge. Well they did because I actually passed out in the place. But I have pictures to prove that it was the best yet!!!!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory was for my 22nd birthday when my friends pitched in together to home make a full dinner meal and a cake for me!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday was when I turned 29(ahem..last year) and I went to Disney Land for the first time. It made me feel like a kid again.
ReplyDeleteI liked you on FB! My favorite birthday memory would have to be my last one, my 21st. My boyfriend made it so incredibly special, we went out to eat, out for drinks, he surprised me with a cake and a nook. He just showered me in love and it meant so so much!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory happened on my 16th birthday. My birthday usually falls around Thanksgiving. This year I had to drive 6 hours to KY on my birthday to see family. In addition to the state test, I had to pass my dad's test to drive. This drive to KY was included (I was taking the driver's test the next week when the DMV re-opened after the holiday.) I thought my car was going to be my mom's white explorer and she would be getting a new car during our KY visit. My dad wanted me to drive straight to the dealership to pick up the car. My dad had me pull in behind a black Ford Escape and told me it was my car. I was ecstatic that I was getting a brand new carand was totally surprised! Side bar: My dad was concerned as the car had just come out that year and when he showed it to me in the yellow version online months earlier, I said it was ugly. At that point, unbeknownst to me, he had already made a down payment.

My favorite birthday memory was having a friend from law school throw me a birthday dinner. It was my first celebration since my sweet 16 party (with a "Survivor" theme)! I can't really remember my parties from when I was a kid, but I was grateful to celebrate with new friends in a new place. It was definitely one of my most memorable!

Angela Robinson Pridgen Sadly I just can't think of a favorite birthday. I just count each one as a blessing as my dad always told me it was. I usually shop for my own gift which makes it very special!

My favorite birthday memory was spending a romantic evening with my husband in Charleston, SC not knowing that I was pregnant with our first child.

My fave birthday memory has to be my 17th birthday! I usually dread my birthday parties due to the fact that January snow always interferes with my fun. I chose to just spend the day at Potomac Mills Mall with my bff Ursula. We were at the mall aalllllll day & were just about to buy movie tickets when my dad called. Usually he doesn't bug out about what time I get home but this time he was blowing up my phone! I thought it was a little suspicious but I just brushed it off as one of those parental meltdowns lol. After a little huffing, puffing and "but ddaaaadddd", he came and picked me up from the mall && we went to his house. When I walked in the door everyone yelled SURPRISE!! I was so happy I cried! It was my first surprise party (something I always wanted but never asked for) && it was the BEST birthday EVER! Thinking about it now makes me a little teary eyed lol Thats how I remember it but my fam mainly remembers that I almost ruined my own surprise party by being hard-headed :/ (they won't let me live it down!)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory so far was my 21st. I had one of the best meals ever at Cosmos in Charlotte, filet mignon with burgundy sauce and asparagus. Sooo good. Afterwards I went out for drinks at Mez. A good night with good people, drinks and food.

ReplyDeleteMy fave birthday memory was probably this birthday. For the first time I celebrated my birthday with my family in Minnesota. I live in New Jersey and spend all my birthday's here but this past year I went to Minnesota to visit my 94 year old grandma amongst other family. They made it very special for me and it was the best yet. :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birth memory is from my 6th birthday shindig. My family met at Bennigans and you know how obsessed I am with their birthday song! But my 6th birthday is so memorable because my dad bought me a 14k gold Tigger chain that I still have. *hangs head in shame* lmao
