ROBINSON STYLE: LOCAL LIST
When I visit or move to a new city, my goal is to try as many local restaurants and visit as many haunts as possible. After moving around NC for school and more school and work, I have accumulated quite the list of favorites around the state. I've made a page which includes my faves and posted the link in my sidebar (you can also click here)
My list consists of places in Greensboro, Winston Salem, Charlotte, and Raleigh/Durham since those are the cities I've actually lived in. I plan to add much more as I try new places! We are planning to go to Asheville a few times this fall and I hope to visit a ton of places.

GQ + 5 BEST SURF SHOPS IN AMERICA
Confession. I have always wanted to learn how to surf. The closest I've been to actually surfing is riding a skim board. When I saw these cool surf shops on GQ, it reminded me of how much I truly love the beach. I would love to be a beach bum and surf all day.

THE SHORT SUIT
I love a great short suit. I even wrote about them before (here). But, I am really loving the new patterned short suits that I've seen around lately. Many people would shy away from wearing one print head to toe. That's why these short suits are so perfect. Enough to make a statement but not so much that it becomes overkill. WORK TO WEEKEND: FLORAL BLAZER
I have been searching for the perfect floral blazer for what seems like forever. For some reason I always find the ones that scream, Dad's Hawaiian print shirt. I found this Pique Floral Blazer recently on Zara's website. I love the colors in this print and it is reasonably priced compared to similar blazers I've seen online. It reminds me so much of this Stella McCartney number. Floral blazers are a great way to wear the trend while at work. If you are going to wear trends in your workplace, I think it's best to make sure the piece has a traditional, tailored silhouette. Also, it's best to keep the rest of the outfit neutral. You can save the pattern mixing for the weekend. I love the look of these striped shorts with the floral blazer.

APRICOT LANE
Last night I was l attended a special party to celebrate the opening of a new boutique, Apricot Lane. The boutique is located at North Hills in Raleigh. (near my job. So dangerous.) The night was full of great food and gorgeous clothes and accessories. I loved so much stuff and I definitely can't wait to go back. The stores grand opening is tomorrow Nov. 9th.
